Produce and maintain oxygen/Co2 levels in indoor environment through Bio cells, to offset self produced CO2

The Problem

We are seeking to address the growing Co2 foot print, and change individual behavior by increasing individual awareness. Although there are general awareness of the problem itself, there is very little people do individually do to offset their own actions. What most people don't understand is that rising Co2 level indoor have direct health effect from dizziness, fatigue to headache. Due to COVID19 we are staying indoors more and more, it creates a perfect opportunity to get people understanding how Co2 works, and how to offset their own carbon footprint. And when this scales up, we can hope to start Co2 capture at an industrial level.

Our Proposal

We hope to Co2 sensors indoor to active algea biocell through LED lights. The user will be made aware of the current Co2 level through IoT device and LED screen. When Co2 is above 500ppm, we will turn on the first layer of light letting users know that algea is now actively reducing Co2 and producing O2. When Co2 is above 1000ppm, this is where most symptoms start, we will turn on more LED lights and allows algea to work extra hard on reducing Co2 level. Although we are able to achieve this through house plants, but algae are among the most efficient types of bio cell to produce oxygen. In a result, we will be leveraging algae for our project to produce oxygen in our indoor home. Globally, it It is estimated that marine plants such as algae and plankton produce 80 percent of the oxygen in the atmosphere. This is the method where NASA uses in the ISS

We Assume that...

Users become more healthy as a result with balanced indoor Co2/oxygen level

Users will have direct awareness over the Co2 level individually

Users will be made aware of Co2 level as a whole, and importance of ecology to main a health oxygen/Co2 level

Users will install these devices in offices, restaurants and other businesses, to be made more aware of the Co2 health impact

Users will be actively reducing Co2 in a global scale, which helps with both Co2 monitoring and Co2 reduction in fighting climate change

Constraints to Overcome

We will address the barrier of awareness towards Co2. Most of the people do not understand Co2 not only have climate change impact, but a direct impact towards us individuals when the level is too high. And the high Co2 level is happening on daily basis when we are stuck at home, which raises many health issues such as fatigue, headache, dizziness, etc. With an active carbon monitoring device, users can be directly made aware of the Co2 level for both individual, and for the entire planet.

Current Work

Our goal is to refine our product into a consumer friendly version. Currently we have a working prototype that can show the essence of the product.

Current Needs

We would need funding, marketing channels, and possibly a kickstarter campaign.
